Purpose of Experiment

 

  • How quickly can you react?
  • Are you quicker with the hand you normally write with?
  • Do younger people have faster reactions?
  • Do you get quicker with practice

 

Instructions

 

You will need a Flash enabled browser to submit data for this experiment.

 

At the start you will need to enter your LEA and School codes (if you are unaware of these please use this link to contact us). 

 

Once logged on with successful codes, you will be asked to enter your age, gender and, only if your teacher has given you one, a project code. During the experiment, a traffic light will appear; to start the reaction timer click on the red light and as soon as it turns green - click on the bottom light. You will need to use your left hand for the first three times and then your right hand three times.

Once you have submitted your data you will be able to:

  • receive your learners' data by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Request your learners' data stating your name, your school name, LEA code and school code.
  • compare your data with other data from our database using the Random Data Sampler (Get Data/Random Data Selector and follow the instructions).
